I agreed on some guest posting to a specific site, however I still maintained and authored blog sites where I wouldn’t dare accept guest posting. I have this belief, I wanted it as a reflection of my ideas and not from somebody else. To target SEO or not, I really don’t care.

I think you need to consider the reputation of the company that you are hiring. In that way you are assured that you get what you paid for.

i agree 100% life and blood of a website/blog is the content. i face this problem. as someone who has a daytime job, most of the time i can only blog well on weekends.

even if i schedule topics everyday – it’s just not gonna work out well, if at the end of the work day, i’ve been stressed and pressured in the office.

It is a tedious job to find the right person to go in great coherence with what you are advocating or writing for. But the thing is, as the hiring entity, you must be willing to risk your investments (blog/business/advocacy) but of course, with a ready contingency plan.

    great thoughts here!

    Lizzie,

you said: “You will always need fresh and search engine-optimized content.” and you are, oh so right! And the idea of hiring a competent writer to do this for you can be a great idea for people that HATE to write and don’t have TIME to write a decent blog. Then again, you could do lots of video tutorials like I do. But they take a lot of work too!

    Thanks!

Hiring a content writer is a good option to make especially if the writer is expert on his or her niche. Having even just a little on SEO is a plus when you hire that writer.
